David A. Lluis

Mr. Lluis earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Southern California in 1998 and his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida, in 2000.

A First-Generation American With a Lifelong Commitment to Immigrants

Mr. Lluis is the first generation of his family born in the United States—both of his parents came to this country as children from Cuba. That history shaped his career. He studied global migration through the University of Pittsburgh’s Semester at Sea program, and throughout high school and college he worked with bilingual and underprivileged children in his community. Today, that same commitment drives his practice.

An Attorney Who Stays in the Courtroom

Mr. Lluis personally handles his own caseload. He appears regularly in immigration, criminal, family, and probate courts, and practices before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. He conducts his practice in English and Spanish.

He believes that staying active in the courts is the only reliable way to keep current with how judges actually rule, how practices shift, and how the law is applied on the ground—knowledge that directly benefits every client the firm represents.

Mr. Lluis is an avid technology enthusiast who has spent years testing emerging legal technology and has contributed to the product development efforts of several major legal technology companies. He now applies those advancements to streamline and organize the firm’s operations—improving both the quality of representation and the experience of every Lluis Law client.
